ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 -- BAN VS ENG

ENGLAND  225 (49.4)         BANGLADESH   227/8  (49)
PLAYER OF THE MATCH  IMRUL KAYES
Shafiul Islam and Mahmudullah produced an unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 58 as Bangladesh scrambled past their victory target of 226 in Chittagong to leave England almost certainly needing to beat West Indies in their final Group B match to avoid another early exit from the competition.

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected  to bowl first.Chasing a modest 226 for a win, Bangladesh got off to a rollicking start with openers adding 52 runs in no time. They were well and truly on course but lost three quick wickets. Imrul Kayes(60) held his nerve in the middle and stitched a 82-run stand with skipper Shakib(32). But once the partnership was broken, the wickets fell like a pack of cards and Bangladesh were looking down the barrel. In walk Mahmuduallh(21) and Shafiul Islam(24) and together they added an enthralling 58 runs for the 10th wicket to steer their side beyond the finish line. The English bowlers struggled through out with the wet ball and credit to them also for hanging in there.
