ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 -- IND VS SA

INDIA    296  (48.4)      SOUTH AFRICA  300/7  (49.4)
PLAYER OF THE MATCH      DALE STEYN

With India batting first in Nagpur, Tendulkar compiled 111 off 101 balls to register his sixth World Cup century but only Virender Sehwag (73) and Gautam Gambhir (69) supported him.Amazing collapse from India and a terrific comeback from South Africa. The latter maintain their record of bowling out every opposition in the tournament. What a frenzy last half-an-hour! Split the game into two halves. The first, was all about Tendulkar's ton and half-centuries from Sehwag and Gambhir. But then, the master's wicket changed it all as India slumped from 267/1 to 296 all down! 29/9 in 55 balls! Steyn was the chief destroyer, with his five-wicket haul. But make no mistake, 297 is a competitive target and with the ball turning and stopping on the batsmen, the Proteas will have their work cut out, especially after they folded up against England in the last game.
The Proteas would have been pretty happy to restrict the Indians to under 300 when they were looking to reach 350-400. The batting saw a sensible approach and not surprisingly, India's two nemeses, Amla and Kallis, stood in between victory and the home side. The middle order did not choke today and there were some few nervous moments towards the end, but the Proteas kept their cool. The bowling received some stick but Harbhajan picked up three wickets.
