Ross Taylor-powered New Zealand have thrashed Pakistan by 110 runs in their ICC Cricket World Cup Group A match in Kandy.Batting first after winning the toss,Ross Taylor's scintillating unbeaten century guided New Zealand to 302 for seven in their World Cup Group A match against Pakistan in Pallekele.Birthday boy Taylor, who turned 27 today, scored 131 off 124 balls and in a late blitz added 84 in 22 balls with Jacob Oram (25 off nine balls) as New Zealand blasted 139 off last 10 overs.
Solid performance by the Kiwis. Taylor demolished the Pakistan bowlers single-handedly but the Kiwi bowling was a team effort. Mills and Southee ripped through the top order while the others contributed too. The Razzaq-Gul partnership was the only noteworthy stand as Pakistan crashed to 192, with Razzaq making 62. New Zealand beat Pakistan by 110 runs.
