Earlier, Netherlands won the toss and elected to field first against South Africa.South Africa thrashed minnows Netherlands by a massive 213 runs to register their second consecutive win of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.Terrific centuries from AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla powered South Africa to 351 for five.
Clinical performance by the Proteas. They batted well to post 351, thanks mainly to twin centurions from Amla and de Villiers and the bowling was even more professional. Tahir impressed again, with 3 scalps. The only negative point, if any, was the dropped catch by Morne Morkel. Netherlands, well, they started off in a good fashion with the ball, but simply could not build up the pressure. They were never in the run-chase and were clueless against spin.
